The Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation (“the Foundation”) supports the charitable endeavors of the Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce.

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
The Oconomowoc Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation will award up to two (2) scholarships to qualified students graduating from Oconomowoc High School in 2016. Each $500 scholarship is intended to offset the cost of secondary university or technical college education.
The application deadline is April 29, 2016. Completed scholarship applications must be submitted electronically to chamber@oconomowoc.org in order to be considered.

2016 Pewaukee Area Arts Council Scholarship:


The Pewaukee Area Arts Council (PAAC) is pleased to announce that it will be awarding college scholarships to talented students in the Lake Country area. Students that wish to pursue and practice their creative passions (dance, painting, drawing, theatre, opera, piano, poetry, set construction, video, animation, modern dance, photography, costume design, etc) are invited to apply. The area covered is limited to students living in the Arrowhead, Pewaukee, Oconomowoc and Kettle Moraine districts.

The scholarships, worth up to a total of $1,500, will be awarded based in part on talent and teacher/mentor
recommendation in the areas of visual, literary and the performing arts. Applicants must be graduating from a
public, private, parochial or alternative high school in 2016 and plan on majoring in the arts at a BA/BS or BFS program at a 2 or 4-year college, university or trade school.

Your assistance in bringing this scholarship to the attention of worthy students would be greatly appreciated.

Each application is due by April 1st 2016 and should consist of the following:

2. An artist statement (100 words or less each)
3. Portfolio submission: two sample works (in digital format/jpg/ pdf OR flat reproductions /photographs,
8x10 or smaller). PAAC cannot guarantee the safe return of original works. For visual or performance
arts, a brief recording, internet link or demo CD is acceptable. Limit email attachments to 10mb.
4. Student should also request one or more teacher/mentors to complete the recommendation form.

in a sealed envelope to our P.O. Box.

The Ashippun Lions Club is pleased to offer scholarships in amount of $500 to graduating high school seniors and to continuing college students.
Applicants Must:
-Reside in the Township of Ashippun or be a son/daughter of an Ashippun Lion Member
-Be a graduating high school senior or enrolled in an accredited college or university.  Higher consideration will be given to applicants pursuing an education in the fields of health care(especially in sight and hearing oriented programs) or elementary education
-Have attained a minimum cumulative GPAof at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
-Submit a completed scholarship application by the due date (April 30, 2016) with all the necessary requirements

Lowell Frank Robotics Scholarship - OHS

Lowell Frank Robotics Scholarship



About: The scholarship is in memory of Lowell Frank, a former robotics mentor for over a decade at Oconomowoc High School. Lowell worked as a mechanical engineer, and after retirement decided to give back to students who shared a common interest in science, technology, engineering, and math. The robotics club became a love of his and it was an honor for Lowell to assist students at OHS. 

Description: This scholarship, worth $500, is available to senior students in the robotics club at Oconomowoc High School who wish to pursue a college education.

Dates: The application period for the Lowell Frank Robotics Scholarship opens on March 1 and closes March 23. Scholarship applications should be submitted to OHS Students Services by March 23rd.

Oconomowoc Branch Scholarship

The American Association of University of Women, Oconomowoc Branch, a non-profit organization that advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research, will award one 1000.00 scholarships for Spring 2016.


Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be a graduating high school senior girl, living in Oconmowoc Area School District, and be planning to attend a post secondary school for the Fall 2016 semester
  2. Applicants must submit a typed essay of 250-500 words answering the following questions:
2016 is a pivotal year for politics, and many important issues will be debated in the upcoming months. What issue or issues concerning women and girls should be addressed this campaign season, and why?

Must submit the following information which will include:
Cover letter introducing themselves, name, address, phone number, email address, and name of school attending this fall.

2016 Michael J. Hogan Memorial Scholarship (Oconomowoc):

This scholarship is awarded to two seniors at Oconomowoc High School showing a financial need and acceptance into a formal educational program at an accredited school or college.  The selection committee highly encourages applicants who may not necessarily have a high grade point average but have in other ways demonstrated ability and motivation to succeed in a college program.

 Complete an essay that tells about yourself and your interests and ambitions

 Provide financial information to demonstrate financial need

 Provide two letters of support (one from an OHS staff member and one from an employer, church leader, family member, etc. who knows you outside of school)

Applicants Must:
  • Be a resident of the area served by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital
  • Be enrolled in a medical field utilized by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital (i.e.  Nursing School, Medical School, Pharmacy School, Physical Therapy, etc.)
  • Have been accepted in a college or university in the State of Wisconsin
  • Have maintained at least a 2.75 GPA in high school and/or college
  • Show evidence of financial need
  • Complete an application
  • Provide two letterof recommendation from a responsible citizen (teacher, counselor, employer, community leader or another individual)

The Oconomowoc Music Club is offering no less than 3 scholarship (s) (ranging from $100-$500) to students age 13-19 attending an Oconomowoc School or residing in the Oconomowoc Area School District (2015 Scholarship recipients are not eligible for an award in 2016).  Class A - level music selections are expected.  Concert dress is required for the audition and performance.

  2. Garrett Becker Scholarship: applicant who has overcome a significant obstacle in their life or if the applicant intends to work in the healthcare field

The Lila Draper Burton Scholarship Trust Fund was established as a result of a bequest by Lila Draper Burton, a Waukesha County resident, indicating her faith in the young people of Waukesha County and her belief in the value of an education.
