Michael J. Hogan Memorial Scholarship 2012

2012 Michael J. Hogan Memorial Scholarship (Oconomowoc):

This scholarship is awarded to two seniors at Oconomowoc High School showing a financial need and acceptance into a formal educational program at an accredited school or college.  The selection committee highly encourages applicants who may not necessarily have a high grade point average but have in other ways demonstrated ability and motivation to succeed in a college program.

Applicants Must:
 Complete an application available in the OHS Student Services office

 Complete an essay that tells about yourself and your interests and ambitions

 Provide financial information to demonstrate financial need

 Provide two letters of support (one from an OHS staff member and one from an employer, church leader, family member, etc. who knows you outside of school)

Amount:
2 - $2900 Scholarships

  • Be a high school senior planning to enroll at an eligible four-year college or university within the 50 states
  • Be enrolled by fall semester
  • Be a United States citizen or permanent resident of US
  • Have demonstrated leadership abilities through participating in community services or other extra curricular activities
  • Have a combined adjusted income of the parents of less than $100,000
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher 
Amount:  3-5 scholarships in the amount of $2500

Waukesha County Labor Council Scholarship 2012

Applicants Must:
  • have a family member who belongs to a local union affiliated with the Waukesha County Labor Council AFL-CIO 
  • be a graduating senior
  • rank within the upper 50 percent of his/her graduating class
  • provide information on involvement in school activities, service, grades, financial need, transcript, and letters of reference
  • provide a SAT or ACT test score to qualify
  • Complete an application available through Student Services at OHS

In 1998 the Lakeland Officials Association established a scholarship fund for graduating high school seniors in the Waukesha County Area.  These awards are not based on any one criterion.

Fine Arts Scholarship Award of the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts, LTD. 2012

2012 Fine Arts Scholarship Award of the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts, LTD. :

Scholarships will be awarded based in part on talent and teacher recommendation in the areas of visual, literary and the performing arts.  .
Applicants Must:
be pursuing a degree in the fine arts, either performing or visual

reside within the Oconomowoc Area School District boundaries or be a student at Oconomowoc High School

provide a grade transcript, one additional sheet listing (community activities, school activities, employment, honors/awards earned), 3 letters of recommendation, two in your field (limited to 1 page each), statement of purpose, and one self-addressed stamped envelope letter-size


If chosen for an interview, be prepared to discuss art pieces or music/theater selection in detail.
art students, bring no less than four and no more than six pieces of artwork to share with the judges.  All two dimensional work must be mounted (does not have to be framed).  Please include at least one example of something you have made outside of a classroom assignment.

music students, be prepared to perform 3-4 pieces

theater students, be prepared to do 3-4 readings

Pewaukee Area Arts Council 2014

2014 Pewaukee Area Arts Council Scholarship:


The Pewaukee Area Arts Council (PAAC) is pleased to announce that it will be awarding college scholarships to talented students in the Lake Country area. Students that wish to pursue and practice their creative passions (dance, painting, drawing, theatre, opera, piano, poetry, set construction, video, animation, modern dance, photography, costume design, etc) are invited to apply. The area covered is limited to students living in the Arrowhead, Pewaukee, Oconomowoc and Kettle Moraine districts.

The scholarships, worth up to a total of $1,500, will be awarded based in part on talent and teacher/mentor
recommendation in the areas of visual, literary and the performing arts. Applicants must be graduating from a
public, private, parochial or alternative high school in 2014 and plan on majoring in the arts at a BA/BS or BFS program at a 2 or 4-year college, university or trade school.

Your assistance in bringing this scholarship to the attention of worthy students would be greatly appreciated.

Each application is due by March 1st, 2014 and should consist of the following:
 Applicant should complete steps 1-3 and submit via email or mail to our P.O. Box:
1. A completed application form
2. An artist statement (100 words or less each)
3. Portfolio submission: two sample works (in digital format/jpg/ pdf OR flat reproductions /photographs,
8x10 or smaller). PAAC cannot guarantee the safe return of original works. For visual or performance
arts, a brief recording, internet link or demo CD is acceptable. Limit email attachments to 10mb.
4. Student should also request one or more teacher/mentors to complete the recommendation form.
Teacher/Mentor should complete the recommendation form and email it to paacscholarship@gmail.com or mail
in a sealed envelope to our P.O. Box.
