2013 WCTC - William A. Baumgart "Excellence in Education" Scholarship: 

Applicants Must:
-Have completed (or be currently in) a WCTC Transcripted Credit or Youth Options Course - having earned a grade of "C" or better
-Be on track to graduate from a Waukesha County public high school during the 2011/12 school year with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
-Submit a completed scholarship application by the due date (April 30, 2013)
-Provide two recommendation forms as part of the application
-Apply for admission to and attend Waukesha County Technical College for the Fall 2013 semester
-Complete an application available by the OHS Student Services office from Susan Verhagen, Counselor

Waukesha County Labor Council Scholarship 2013

Applicants Must:
  • have a family member who belongs to a local union affiliated with the Waukesha County Labor Council AFL-CIO 
  • be a graduating senior
  • rank within the upper 50 percent of his/her graduating class
  • provide information on involvement in school activities, service, grades, financial need, transcript, and letters of reference
  • provide a SAT or ACT test score to qualify
  • Complete an application available through Student Services at OHS
Amount:  2- $1000

2013 Oconomowoc Memorial Auxiliary Scholarship

Oconomowoc Memorial Auxiliary Scholarship

Applicants Must:
  • Be a resident of the area served by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital
  • Be enrolled in a medical field utilized by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital (i.e.  Nursing School, Medical School, Pharmacy School, Physical Therapy, etc.)
  • Have been accepted in a college or university in the State of Wisconsin
  • Have maintained at least a 2.75 GPA in high school and/or college
  • Show evidence of financial need
  • Complete an application
  • Provide two letters of recommendation from a responsible citizen (teacher, counselor, employer, community leader or another individual)
  • A transcript of high school grades and/or any advanced courses
  • Provide an official copy of registration from the school you will be attending
  • Provide a copy of financial need (i.e. - Federal Tax Form or Financial Aid Form)
  • Enclose a recent snapshot or class picture for publicity purposes
  • Complete an application form available in the Student Service Office from Susan Verhagen, Counselor
Amount:
Full time students carrying a minimum of 12 credits at $1000/year ($500/semester)
Part time students carrying a minimum of 6 credits at $500/year ($250/semester)
Both scholarship are renewable for up to 4 years if student reapplies and meets criteria

2013 Oconomowoc Music Club Scholarship

2013 Oconomowoc Music Club Scholarship :

The Oconomowoc Music Club is offering no less than 3 scholarship (s) (ranging from $100-$500) to students age 13-19 attending an Oconomowoc School or residing in the Oconomowoc Area School District (2012 Scholarship recipients are not eligible for an award in 2013).  Class A - level music selections are expected.  Concert dress is required for the audition and performance.

Applicants Must:


Reside within the school district of Oconomowoc or attend an Oconomowoc School.

Be able to perform at the Oconomowoc Music Club's Accent on Youth program on Friday, April 19th, 2013 1:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 145 E. Lisbon Road, Oconomowoc

Waukesha Chapter of Wisconsin Alumni Association
Applicants Must:
-Be a graduating high school senior from an accredited Waukesha County High School in 2013
-Attend University of Wisconsin-Madison beginning the fall semester of 2013
-Be able to provide information regarding their academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, community service, financial need and community activities  (selection will be based on these criteria)

American Cancer Society Youth Scholarship 2013

The Youth Scholarship is now accepting applications, with the deadline being March 15th, 2013. Here are the criteria for the scholarship:

Students are eligible to apply for an American Cancer Society Youth Scholarship if:
  • Diagnosed with cancer before the age of 21
  • Under the age of 25 at the time of the application
  • A legal resident of Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin for at least one year
  • Accepted to attend an accredited two or four year university or vocational/technical school
  • Completed the application process
  • Provide Estimated Financial Contribution (EFC) score from Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Michael J. Hogan Memorial Scholarship 2013

2013 Michael J. Hogan Memorial Scholarship (Oconomowoc):

This scholarship is awarded to two seniors at Oconomowoc High School showing a financial need and acceptance into a formal educational program at an accredited school or college.  The selection committee highly encourages applicants who may not necessarily have a high grade point average but have in other ways demonstrated ability and motivation to succeed in a college program.

Applicants Must:
 Complete an application available in the OHS Student Services office

 Complete an essay that tells about yourself and your interests and ambitions

 Provide financial information to demonstrate financial need

 Provide two letters of support (one from an OHS staff member and one from an employer, church leader, family member, etc. who knows you outside of school)

2013 Dr. Peter J. Sheild Scholarship (Oconomowoc):

Applicant must:

Obtain scholarship application through OHS Student Services
Participate in a 2 or 4 year post-high school program in a science-related field

Be involved in extracurricular/community activities

Maintain a 3.4 or above on a 4.0 point scale

Rank in the upper 10% of graduating class

Provide two letters of recommendation – 1 faculty member and 1 community member

Provide an official transcript including records for 7 semesters

Provide an essay written by applicant describing what the applicant is pursuing and why.  This essay should include what his/her career goals are and any special circumstances that might be considered.

Must Return all application materials to:  OHS Counseling Office no later than April 30, 2013

2013 Oconomowoc Utilities and WPPI Energy Public Power Scholarship:

This scholarship is awarded to any full-time student who is a customer or whose guardian is a customer of Oconomowoc Utilities.  Dependents of utility personnel are not eligible.
Applicants Must:
-Be a full-time student

-Complete an essay on the theme:  The Benefits of Public Power to Our Community.  Essays should be 500-1000 words, typed, double-spaced and include the following information:
