Wisconsin Masonic Foundation Scholarship 2014:  Oconomowoc/Hartland Lodge

 

The Wisconsin Masonic Foundation(Oconomowoc/Hartland Lodge 42) is pleased to offer a scholarship in the amount of $1000 to a graduating high school senior.

Applicants Must:
-Be a graduating high school senior
-Display a commendable academic record
-Plan to further their education at a junior college, technical college or 4-year college
-Demonstrate leadership ability and service as evidenced by school, community or church
-Submit a completed scholarship application by the due date (May 16, 2014) with all the necessary requirements

Amount:
 $1000 scholarship

2014 Waukesha County Farm Bureau Scholarship

2014 Waukesha County Farm Bureau Scholarship Guidelines

The Waukesha County Farm Bureau is making available four $500 scholarships to students who will be furthering in higher education or those who are already enrolled in higher education, and who meet the qualifications below:

  • The scholarship may be used at any accredited technical school or university for continuing education in agriculture or an agriculture related field.
  • Consideration will be given to non-agricultural field related application; however preference will be given to those that are agriculturally related.
  • The scholarship is $500 per student, per school year, and will be available to students in any year of their higher education.
  • Students are eligible and encouraged to apply every year, scholarship may be received more than once.
  • Scholarships will be awarded at the recommendation of the Scholarship Committee with approval of the Waukesha County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. The scholarship recipient(s) will be notified by Friday, August 29, 2014.
  • If no worthy candidate is found, the Scholarship Committee reserves the right to withhold the scholarship(s).
  • Recipient(s) will be required to attend the Waukesha County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting (Thursday, October 2, 2014) OR a Waukesha County Farm Bureau Board Meeting to receive the scholarship.
  • Payment of scholarships will be made to the recipient(s) after their first term of the current year and after they have submitted a copy of their semester grade transcript showing a 2.5 (C+) grade point average or better (due February 1, 2014).
  • The Scholarship Committee will base their selection upon:
·         Activities (including participation in 4-H, school, community and employment)
·         Leadership Positions Held
·         Essays
·         Letters of Recommendation
·         Transcript of higher or continued education grades
  • Preference will be given to students of families who have Waukesha County Farm Bureau memberships. Applicants 22 years of age or older must have their own membership.
  • Preference will be given to students who are Waukesha County residents.

The application form must be filled out and submitted to the Scholarship Committee by Friday, June 30, 2014 along with an essay and at least two letters of recommendation. References shall return their written recommendations to the Scholarship Committee in a sealed envelope.

Okauchee Area Business Association Scholarship 2014 

The Okauchee Area Business Association is offering four scholarships in the amount of $1000 to 4 graduating high school seniors.

Applicants Must:
-Be a resident of the Town of Oconomowoc OR a student attending either Arrowhead High School or Oconomowoc High School
-Be a senior, expecting to graduate in June 2014 and planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college
-Have a GPA of 3.0 or better
-Be involved in his or her community and in extra-curricular school activities
-Submit an essay entitled, Who has had the most influence in your life and why?
-Submit a completed scholarship application and essay by the due date (May 16, 2014) with all the necessary requirements
