2012 James W. Schmitz Rotary Scholarship (Oconomowoc):

This scholarship is awarded to a senior at Oconomowoc High School based on :  scholastic achievement, especially in math and science; leadership; school citizenship and character; and high ACT scores in math and science.
Applicants Must:

  •  Complete an essay that tells about yourself and your interests and ambitions

An actuary is a professional business executive who applies mathematics and statistics to the design and management of insurance and pension systems.


Applicants will be chosen based on:
-mathematical aptitude and expressed interest in an actuarial career

Amount:
A scholarship of $2000 per year for four years is available for study in actuarial science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Great Opportunity to Complete FAFSA - College Goal Wisconsin

GREAT OPPORTUNITY!!!!

This is an event where parents and/or students can receive free assistance to complete their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). There will be a quick overview of financial aid and then you will actually be able to sit down at a computer and begin filling out the FAFSA.  If you have the necessary paperwork, you can complete the FAFSA that day and submit it.  This day is staffed by volunteers from colleges, universities, high schools and community members.

2012 Wisconsin Cattlemen's and Cattlewomen's Scholarship 


This award provides financial assistance to graduating seniors pursuing degrees that enhance rural communities.

Applicants Must:
-Be a graduating senior
-Be planning to attend an accredited 4 year college or a 2 year program/technical school 
-Must have a background in the beef, veal or dairy industry
-Must be a resident of Wisconsin
-Preference may be given to those majoring or planning a career with an agricultural focus
-Preference may be given to those attending a Wisconsin School

Deadline:  must be postmarked no later than February 27, 2012

2012 Thomas H. Lutsey-Waseda Farms Rural Scholarship


This award provides financial assistance to graduating seniors pursuing degrees that enhance rural communities.

Applicants Must:
-Be a graduating senior
-Be planning to attend an accredited 4 year college or a 2 year program/technical school then transferring to a 4 year program as a full time student
-Have a GPA 3.0 or higher
-Have a satisfactory ACT or SAT test score
-Have a rural or agricultural background
-Be planning a career with an agricultural focus
-Have a need for financial assistance

Must complete an application at www.LutseyScholarship.org and complete and mail Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and send a copy of Student Aid Report (SAR) to The Thomas H. Lutsey-Waseda Farms Scholarship Fund after you receive it.

 
Amount:
up to $1750 and can be renewed up to 3 subsequent years for maintaining a 3.0 GPA  (award increases subsequently each year)
