Wisconsin School Counselor Association Scholarship 2015

Career Cruising and Method Test Prep Award for Unprecedented Success

The Wisconsin School Counselor Association (WSCA), in partnership with Career Cruising & Method Test Prep, has established the WSCA High School Scholarship Program to assist students with their post-secondary education.

FOUR $1,000.00 Scholarships Will Be Awarded


ELIGIBILITY: High School Seniors who:
v  Are attending a public or private high school in Wisconsin and,
v  Will be attending a post-secondary education program during the 2015-2016 school year.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
  1. Type a one page essay (single or double-spaced) addressing one of the following questions:
a.    How has your school counselor demonstrated leadership in your school/community to promote student success?
b.    How has your school counselor met the varying needs of students in your school? (race, ethnicity, gender, social class, etc.)
  1. Copy & Paste your Entry Information below into the body of your email and attach your essay to wscascholarships@gmail.com.

DEADLINE:  Entries must be received no later than November 1, 2014; for scholarship consideration.

AWARD NOTIFICATION:  Winners will be posted to the WSCA website by February 2015.

**Requirements**

  • 1 page essay (single or double-spaced) – essays longer than 1 page will be disqualified.
  • Type your essay in a Word Document using no smaller than 12 point font and 1” margins.
  • Please put your name on the essay.
  • Send your Entry Information in the body of your email to wscascholarships@gmail.com.
  • Attach your essay as a typed word document to your email by November 1, 2014.

Most Valuable Student Scholarship - Elks National Foundation 2014-15

Most Valuable Student Scholarship - Elks National Foundation 2014-15:

Applicants Must:
-Be a graduating high school senior
-Be a U.S. citizen
-Must submit an application form that will be judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need.  Students will need to supply the following information:  work experience, community service, honors and awards, extracurricular activities, citizenship and family income range and status.
-Must advance through local, district and state competitions to reach national judging.


Amount:
500 4-year awards ranging from:  $1000/year to $15,000/year
