Menards Preps Plus Scholarship

MENARDS PREPS PLUS SCHOLARSHIP 2016



This scholarship is looking for students who demonstrate the values of hard work and dedication to their education, communities and families; who volunteer; and who participate in extracurricular activities.
The ideal candidate is also an individual who excels in the classroom, community outreach, or in sports.

For this scholarship opportunity, Menards will offer two $1000 college scholarships to graduating high school seniors - 1 male and 1 female.

Scholarship applications are available from Sunday, January 17th-Saturday, February 13, 2016.

Scholarship Selection Criteria (in order of importance):
Demonstrates integrity through determination
Demonstrates involvement in school and/or community activities
Demonstrates ability to overcome adversity
Demonstrates academic success
Demonstrates financial need

In addition to the application and essay, students must also submit two letters of recommendation from school personnel, a community member or an employer

2016 Christian Scholarship Foundation



For the past twenty two years, Divine Redeemer's Christian Scholarship Foundation has awarded scholarships to Waukesha County High School Seniors.  Four scholarships will be awarded this year:
  1. $2500 to one male and one female
  2. Garrett Becker Scholarship: applicant who has overcome a significant obstacle in their life or if the applicant intends to work in the healthcare field
  3. Douglas Baker Memorial Scholarship ($8000) to a student for their Christian leadership
Applicants Must:
-Have a cumulative 3.5 GPA through January 1, 2016 ( an official transcript must be included with the application)
-Be a full-time student
-Have Lettered in one or more Varsity Sport(s)
-Participate in school activities
-Be active in church, above and beyond weekly church attendance.  Students must be members of Christian congregation
-Complete an application available by the OHS Student Services office or at www.drlc.org

Courtney Bella Foundation Scholarship
DUE March 1st
$1000/Per Year for 4 Years
(Recipient must maintain 3.0 cumulative GPA for award to continue past 1st year)
                                                                                                                                                       

The Imagine A Day Scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior, accepted to a 4-year accredited university, who has demonstrated and sustained accomplishment through creative and/or performing arts involvement, achieved sustained academic success and has balanced those pursuits with charitable, civic and/or athletic activities as well.

Transcript and Two Letters of Recommendation

Lila Draper Burton Scholarship 2016

Lila Draper Burton Scholarship


The Lila Draper Burton Scholarship Trust Fund was established as a result of a bequest by Lila Draper Burton, a Waukesha County resident, indicating her faith in the young people of Waukesha County and her belief in the value of an education.


Applicants Must:
-Be a full-time student
-Be a resident of Waukesha County
-Plan to pursue  post-secondary education
-Complete an application available by the OHS Student Services office


Amount:
 $1200/year for 4 years
$1800/year for 4 years for those attending Carroll College
(number of scholarships awarded is dependent upon the income of the Trust Fund, last year 15 were awarded)

Deadline:
March 14, 2016 to the OHS Student Services Office
3 applications will then be selected for advancement to the Lila Draper Burton Scholarship Committee based on:  scholarship achievement, personality and character qualities, school citizenship, ACT scores and financial need.

2016 Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin :

The PIAW will award scholarships to successful candidates who are 2015 graduating seniors.  Scholarship recipients must be entering college and have a focus on insurance or a related field of study .  Applicants MUST BE SPONSORED BY A PIAW MEMBER.  A list of members can be found at the website http://www.piaw.org/YPC-Events/. "Membership/Find an Agency Member" or by looking for the PIA logo on agency premises stationery or their advertising materials.

Dodge County Registered Nurses Scholarship 2016

Dodge County Registered Nurses Scholarship:


This scholarship is awarded to any full-time student residing in Dodge County who plans to pursue higher education for nursing. Determination of the successful candidate will be based upon scholastic achievement, need, leadership, and character.

Applicants Must:
-Be a full-time student
-Resident of Dodge County
-Plan to pursue some form of post-secondary education in nursing at an accredited School of Nursing located in Wisconsin.  This does not include an LPN.

 $300/year up to $1200 for four years
