Oconomowoc Memorial Auxiliary Scholarships

Oconomowoc Memorial Auxiliary Scholarship
Applicants Must:
  • Be a resident of the area served by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital
  • Be enrolled in a medical field utilized by Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital (i.e.  Nursing School, Medical School, Pharmacy School, Physical Therapy, etc.)
  • Have been accepted in a college or university in the State of Wisconsin
  • Have maintained at least a 2.75 GPA in high school and/or college
  • Show evidence of financial need
  • Complete an application
  • Provide two letters of recommendation from a responsible citizen (teacher, counselor, employer, community leader or another individual)
  • Provide an official copy of registration from the school you will be attending
  • Provide a copy of financial need (i.e. - Federal Tax Form or Financial Aid Form)
  • Enclose a recent snapshot or class picture for publicity purposes
  • Complete an application form available in the Student Service Office from Susan Verhagen, Counselor
Amount:
Full time students carrying a minimum of 12 credits at $1000/year ($500/semester)
Part time students carrying a minimum of 6 credits at $500/year ($250/semester)
Both scholarship are renewable for up to 4 years if student reapplies

OPEN HOUSE FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR ELKS SCHOLARSHIP

The Watertown Elks lodge will be holding an open house for students interested in applying for an Elks Scholarship.  The open house will be:

Wednesday, November 16th - 7:00 PM at the Watertown lodge, 117 North First Street. 
 

There will be a brief presentation about the application process followed by a question and answer session.  
For those unable to attend the open house, scholarship information and application is available online at http://www.elks.org/enf/scholars/mvs.cfm.  In order for an application to be considered at the District level judging, the application must be completed via a computer using the online application. The scholarship application and packet are due to the local lodge (Watertown Elks Lodge 666, 117 N First Street, Watertown) on December 2, 2011.

Elks Scholarship: Most Valuable Student Scholarship

Most Valuable Student Scholarship - Elks National Foundation:
 
Applicants Must:
-Be a graduating high school senior
-Be a U.S. citizen
-Must submit an application form that will be judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need.  Students will need to supply the following information:  work experience, community service, honors and awards, extracurricular activities, citizenship and family income range and status.
-Must advance through local, district and state competitions to reach national judging.


Amount:
500 4-year awards ranging from:  $1000/year to $15,000/year

Oconomowoc Scholarship Fund - The Future Leader Award

 

THE OCONOMOWOC SCHOLARSHIP FUND:  Future Leader Award funded by the Thomas W. Mount Family Trust



The Oconomowoc Scholarship Fund was founded in 1947 to provide financial assistance for selected high school graduates who have demonstrated both interest and ability to pursue a college or technical education.  It is supported through contributions and bequests of community members, businesses, students and friends. 

Applicants Must:
  • Be a resident of the Oconomowoc Area School District
  • Be a senior of Oconomowoc High School
  • Have attended Oconomowoc High School for at least four semesters
  • Be a prospective student of UW Madison 
  • Provide information on financial need, academic achievement, citizenship, career goals, etc.
  • Have a  3.2 minimum grade point is required after 2 years to qualify for the final 2 years.
  • Complete an application available at http://www.oconomowocscholarshipfund.org/



 
Amount:
Tuition and books for 8 semesters at the University of Wisconsin Madison, up to a maximum of $8000 per year for 4 years or $32,000.

  • Must not receive more than 50% of your tuition, fees, room and board costs from other scholarships, awards and grants

Amount:
$1000 per year for two year program or $2000 per year four year program
**Students who remain in good standing are able to renew the scholarship each year of study. (Total $8000 for a four year program or total $2000 for a two year program)

2012 Waukesha Kennel Club

2012 Waukesha Kennel Club Scholarship
Scholarship offers $2000 to a graduating senior of a Waukesha County High School who plans to do college work leading to a degree in the field of biological science.  The recipient of this scholarship may re- apply to the Waukesha Kennel Club annually for three years for additional grants of $300.00 for the second year, $700.00 for the third year and $800.00 for the fourth year, for a possible total of $2000.00.

  • Be a graduating high school senior of a Waukesha County High School
  • Plan to do college work leading to a degree in the filed of biological science
  • Show an interest displayed in the filed of biological science to include:  medicine, marine biology, forestry, agriculture, or wildlife management

Applicants Must:
  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Be able to provide information regarding their academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, and community activities

  • Must complete a 300-500 word essay describing your goals in the following:  future education, personal life, community/society service, and career
  • Must submit three letters of recommendation (one from each of the following categories - these represent 18 percent of the score at the state level): 
  • 1.      Teacher

    3.      Community member {ex. Employer, physician, member of religious community} or family friend {family members are excluded} who is not affiliated with your school district.
