Lake Country Playhouse Performing Arts Scholarships 2012

2012 Lake Country Playhouse Scholarship 2012 :

The Lake Country Players, a Hartland based community theatre group, will again be offering two Performing Arts Scholarships.  This scholarship is based strongly on artistic and theatrical ability and experience and is offered to students sincerely interested in pursuing a career in the performing arts.
 
Applicants Must:
be pursuing higher education in any phase of theater and performing arts
 
intend to participate in college or vocational performing arts activities as well as to use this education following graduation from an accredited program

be a 2012 graduate of an area high school

complete an application available in the OHS Student Services Office

provide a completed application, a grade transcript, and 2 letters of recommendation, at least 1 in the chosen interest  field

All applicants will be requested to appear for a closed competitive interview to be announced for early May at the Lake Country Playhouse.  At that time, the applicant will be asked to perform or submit an example of their work in their chosen artistic field, such as vocals, set design, choreography, acting, instrumental, lasting no longer than 10 minutes.

Ashippun Lions Club Scholarship 2012

2012 Ashippun Lions Club Scholarship: 

The Ashippun Lions Club is pleased to offer scholarships in amount of $500 to graduating high school seniors and to continuing college students.
Applicants Must:
-Reside in the Township of Ashippun or be a son/daughter of an Ashippun Lion Member
-Be a graduating high school senior or enrolled in an accredited college or university.  Higher consideration will be given to applicants pursuing an education in the fields of health care(especially in sight and hearing oriented programs) or elementary education
-Have attained a minimum cumulative GPAof at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
-Submit a completed scholarship application by the due date (April 16, 2012) with all the necessary requirements
-Submit a copy of the applicant's most recent academic transcript
-Include a recent photograph or high school senior picture
-Complete an application available by the OHS Student Services office from Susan Verhagen, Counselor

WCTC - William Baumgart "Excellence in Education" Scholarship 2012

2012 WCTC - William A. Baumgart "Excellence in Education" Scholarship: 

Applicants Must:
-Have completed (or be currently in) a WCTC Transcripted Credit or Youth Options Course - having earned a grade of "C" or better
-Be on track to graduate from a Waukesha County public high school during the 2011/12 school year with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
-Submit a completed scholarship application by the due date (April 13, 2012)
-Provide two recommendation forms as part of the application
-Apply for admission to and attend Waukesha County Technical College for the Fall 2012 semester
-Complete an application available by the OHS Student Services office from Susan Verhagen, Counselor

Vietnam Veterans of America - Waukesha County Chapter 2012

2012 Vietnam Veterans of America- Waukesha County Chapter 425 : 

 
 
Applicants Must:
-Be a Waukesha County high school senior
-Be related to a US Veteran or individual on active military duty
-Have a 2.5 GPA or greater
-Provide a video or other multimedia presentation (1 to 5 minutes in length) to be submitted using YouTube.  This presentation must have a patriotic theme or be based on an aspect of the veteran's service or experience
-Complete an application available by the OHS Student Services office from Susan Verhagen, Counselor

Nature Hill Intermediate School Scholarship 2013

 

2013 Nature Hill Intermediate School Scholarship :

Nature Hill Intermediate School is offering two $1000 scholarships to an Oconomowoc High School senior (s) who intend to enter into the educational field. While all students are encouraged to apply, those who attended Nature Hill will be given special consideration.

Applicants Must:


Successfully obtain an OHS diploma

Have a desire to enter into a career in education after graduation

Demonstrate a commitment to education both in and out of school

Complete an application available at  OHS Student Services

Dr. Peter J. Sheild Scholarship 2012

 2012 Dr. Peter J. Sheild Scholarship (Oconomowoc):

Applicant must:

Obtain scholarship application through OHS Student Services
Participate in a 2 or 4 year post-high school program in a science-related field

Be involved in extracurricular/community activities

Maintain a 3.4 or above on a 4.0 point scale

Rank in the upper 10% of graduating class

Provide two letters of recommendation – 1 faculty member and 1 community member

Provide an official transcript including records for 7 semesters

Provide an essay written by applicant describing what the applicant is pursuing and why.  This essay should include what his/her career goals are and any special circumstances that might be considered.

Must Return all application materials to:  OHS Counseling Office no later than April 30, 2012

Oconomowoc Music Club Scholarship 2013

2013 Oconomowoc Music Club Scholarship :

The Oconomowoc Music Club is offering no less than 3 scholarship (s) (ranging from $100-$500) to students age 13-19 attending an Oconomowoc School or residing in the Oconomowoc Area School District (2012 Scholarship recipients are not eligible for an award in 2013).  Class A - level music selections are expected.  Concert dress is required for the audition and performance.

Applicants Must:


Reside within the school district of Oconomowoc or attend an Oconomowoc School.

Be able to perform at the Oconomowoc Music Club's Accent on Youth program on Friday, April 19th, 2013 1:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 145 E. Lisbon Road, Oconomowoc

Complete an application available from OHS Music teachers or OHS Student  Services
