Oconomowoc Education Association Scholarship Opportunities 2013


The Oconomowoc Education Association will again be supporting students wishing to further their education.  Two scholarships for $900 each will be awarded to qualified candidates this Spring.

One scholarship is available for graduates of Oconomowoc High School who are pursuing careers in teaching.  The purpose for this scholarship is to provide financial support in the sum of $900 to graduates of Oconomowoc High School who have chosen to become teachers. This scholarship is made available to any graduate of Oconomowoc High School who is currently attending a college or university and has been accepted into the School of Education at that college or university.

The second scholarship is available to children of members of the Oconomowoc Education Association who are high school graduates and are pursuing higher education in any field.  The purpose for this scholarship is to provide financial support in the sum of $900 to a son or a daughter of a member of the Oconomowoc Education Association who plans to pursue higher education.

Criteria for both scholarships will include financial need, academic record, activities and involvement record, letters of recommendation, and short essays.  Scholarship forms may be picked up in the Student Services Office at Oconomowoc High School or by contacting Jodi Schlender by e-mail at Jodi.schlender@mail.oasd.k12.wi.us   The deadline for applying for the scholarships is May 17, 2013.  Recipients will be notified by June 3, 2013.  For additional information, call Jodi Schlender at Nature Hill Intermediate School 569-4945 ext.4846 or e-mail at Jodi.schlender@mail.oasd.k12.wi.us .
